If you like walking this is a safe and beautiful place with lots of surprises to be discovered every day. Our little great island is only 5.5 miles long or 8 km.

For all the rentals you need to bring an ID.
I see a lot of people asking about drinking and driving. Right now there is a zero tolerance rule. And personally I am glad for this. Please if you choose to drive, don’t drink! If you choose to drink some of the fabulous cocktails all the bars and restaurants offer just take a taxi. Taxis are very cheap on the island, just agree the price with the driver before getting in and you will be completely safe and happy!
Where to Eat
When people ask me what my favourite restaurant on the island is, I can never mention only one! It depends on what kind of food you would like to have.
For mexican food I can recommend La Lomita for lunch in downtown. El Mercado, Los Amigos these are awesome. They all have authentic mexican food and also fresh seafood and fish
My favourite place for breakfast is Elements of the Island as they have home made bread and jams and some delicious dishes at a super reasonable price.
North Garden is one of my favourites for breakfast and lunch too, close to North beach, the food and drinks are amazing and they make you feel super welcome every time!
For Italian food, we have a lot on the island, my favourite place is Mamma Rosa! I like thin crust pizza and the pasta is amazing here, I have never been disappointed!Seafood pasta at Mama Rosa is my favourite.
There are a few carts that sell fresh and super good tacos. By Casa de La Cultura is a cart in the parking lot and I love their tacos.
There are many great beach clubs ar North beach where you can rent an unbrella with beach beds and spend a beautiful day.
Kin Ha and El Pescador towards Punta Sur are awesome for kids with some water slides and pools.
Nightlife
There is also room for some party on our beautiful island!
On Hidalgo street in downtown, you can find many bars with live music that start normally between 8 pm and 10 pm. If you are looking for some dancing the beach bar at Selina hostel is very fun!
